Well,go to: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonStar Wars Battlefront IIGameDataaddonsee if you find this folder:AAA-v1.3patch^should be named like that.but since you have those options it means it is properly installed.as for mods, they need to be in addon. I find that if you install the mods in gamedata they will find the addon folder and automatically add it to there.in my gamedata folder,i have both the original exe file and GM one there.the GM one is named dfferently though because for GR i need to have it named BattlefrontII.exeor BattlefrontIIboth of mine work with mods. Not sure why your GM exe doesnt work.so.make sure the mods are properly installed, like, make sure they have their own folders like. If it is the convo pack, for the Battlefront 1 mod maps and such,it should say BF1 or so.you could uninstall the mods and reinstall,it might fix your issue. I'm not sure though if you want to host a normal pc server or dedicated. Yea I have the AAA-1.3patch folder in the addons folder, and I have 2exe files one that the mod installer put in the gamedata folder, and the one that gm had me install. Somehow I think I have to make gm, and the mod installer launch from the same exe. I tried to put them together but then the game wouldn't launch.
I think I'm in over my head with this.
TO CLARIFY: YOU ONLY NEED ONE OF THESE. However, if you use both you can get far more people on your PUBLIC server if you host one.Make an account in both GameRanger and Evolve.Make sure that both programs are open while the server is up.In Evolve, create a party. I suggest naming the party the name of your server, but you can name it whatever you want.Other Evolve users can join this party and join your game.Set the party's game to 'Star Wars: Battlefront II' so people can find and join your game. Then you will want to share the link so people can join the party when they aren't on Evolve and later join your server (on forums, etc.)Keep Evolve open, and everything there open. Open GameRanger and log in.Press 'Host' and choose whatever you want in the lists. You're almost ready! Now, with Evolve, its party, and the GameRanger room running, start by going to the GAMERANGER ROOM and press 'start.' I have not tested all of this yet, and I am not sure whether you need to make it an 'Internet' or 'LAN' game. I believe that you will want it 'LAN,' but I am unsure.
(EDIT: If you are using Evolve, then LAN will always work, but internet may work as well. If you are using GameRanger you must use internet).Go to 'host' and make the 'Dedicated' server set to 'Yes.' IF you want it to be dedicated (You will NOT be able to join on the computer it is hosted on)Begin the server, and you're done! Now just have people join the gameranger room, or have them join the Evolve room, and you're set. You're dedicated server is all ready to go.
